Markos Drakos
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Markos is the Managing Director and founder of the Markos Drakos Consultants Group. He previously co-managed the Deloitte & Touche Nicosia Office, and following a reorganisation of Deloitte & Touche in Cyprus, he hived out the Consultancy and International Business division, and founded the Markos Drakos Consultants Group. Markos worked as a Manager with KPMG in Nicosia until he set up Touche Ross & Co in Cyprus. He studied Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science and then qualified as a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales, trained with KPMG in the UK. Markos is also member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.
Maria Drakos
DIRECTOR
Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Computing and a Master’s degree in Management Science from Imperial College London. She worked in London for three years as a software engineer and then relocated to Cyprus in 1986 where she joined Laiki Bank’s Information Technology Division. Maria served in various senior positions in the Bank ranging from Information Systems Development, Electronic Banking Services, Retail Banking Division, Group Organisation & Projects Division, Alternative Distribution Network Division, and Information Technology Division and reached the position of Group Chief Operations Officer in 2012 and was a member of the Group Executive Committee. She left the Bank in July 2013 following the merger with Bank of Cyprus. Maria joined the Group in 2014.
Markos Klerides
DIRECTOR
Markos studied Mathematics at Imperial College, London and also holds a Masters degree in Information Systems from City University and an MBA from Open University of Cyprus. Markos spearheaded the establishment and on-going development of the Group’s Office Services. Markos joined the Markos Drakos Group in 2006. He is the Group’s operations director and has also substantial experience in the banking and administration and corporate services. He is responsible for the development of office space, human capital and technological infrastructure support services.
